1. Equipment Introduction
The Shenyang Guangcheng Technology GCAN-8000 CANopen IO bus coupler can be used to connect CAN bus systems with distributed bus terminal modules, which can be expanded in a modular manner. A complete node consists of a bus coupler, 1-32 terminal modules of any quantity, and a terminal block module. Using the GCAN-8000 bus coupler, I/O connections can be easily established through GC-bus expansion technology, with up to 32 input/output terminal modules connected.
The GCAN-8000 CANopen IO bus coupler adopts the CAN bus protocol compliant with the ISO 11898 standard. The GCAN-8000 bus coupler not only supports all types of CANopen communication but can also be easily applied in manufacturer-specific CAN bus environments. Furthermore, firmware upgrades can be performed via the USB interface.
The GCAN-8000 CANopen IO bus coupler can connect to all bus terminal modules. From the user's perspective, the processing of analog input/output signals is no different from the processing of other types of signals. The information within the controller's process mapping area is displayed in byte array format. The GCAN-8000 bus coupler supports automatic configuration, eliminating the need for parameter settings on a PC. The CANopen baud rate and node number of the GCAN-8000 bus coupler can be configured through the RS-232 interface.
