1. Equipment Introduction
GCAN-4032 remote IO is a high-performance bus-compatible remote IO module independently developed by our company based on the CANopen bus. It saves costs for users, simplifies wiring, and enhances system reliability. The system comes with 16 DI and 16 DO channels (outputs are defaulted to transistor PNP type, with NPN type optional; inputs can be switched between source/drain types through wiring). With the GCAN-4032 module, users can collect digital input signals, output digital signals, control switches, and achieve the connection between remote switchgear and the CANopen network, forming a control node for data signal collection and output in the CANopen network.
The GCAN-4032 module integrates an isolation protection module for its power supply and CAN bus interface, which prevents damage to the module due to transient overvoltage and overcurrent. The DIN rail mounting method makes it easier to integrate into various control cabinets.
2. Equipment Parameters
● CAN-bus supports CAN2.0A and CAN2.0B frame formats, conforming to ISO/DIS 11898 specifications;
● The CAN-bus communication baud rate is arbitrarily programmable between 10Kbps and 1Mbps;
● The CAN-bus interface employs electrical isolation, with an isolation module insulation voltage of DC 1500V;
● The power supply adopts 24V DC (-15%/+20%);
● Number of digital input channels: 16 channels;
● Number of digital output channels: 16 channels;
● Digital input and output signals: The input can be switched between source/sink types through wiring; the output defaults to transistor PNP output, with NPN output being optional;
● Digital input ON signal: voltage ≥ 9V DC; input OFF signal: voltage ≤ 5V DC;
● The PNP source type digital output voltage is 24V, which is the operating voltage of IO. The maximum output current is 500mA (single channel); 300mA (simultaneous output from multiple channels);
● The NPN sinking digital output voltage is 24V, which is the operating voltage of IO. The maximum output current is 500mA (single channel); 280mA (simultaneous output from multiple channels);
● EMC anti-interference channel support: module power supply channel, CAN channel;
● Module power supply channel: electrostatic contact discharge ±4KV, electrostatic air discharge ±8KV, electrical fast transient burst ±2KV, lightning strike (surge) ±1KV;
● CAN channel: 1500VDC electrical isolation, electrostatic contact discharge ±8KV, electrical fast transient burst ±2KV, lightning strike (surge) ±4KV; using a dip switch to configure module baud rate and node number;
● Operating temperature range: -40℃~+85℃;
