  • The GCAN-202 Ethernet to CAN converter has intergrated 2 CAN bus interface and 1 Ethernet interface. It can realize the bidrection communication between CAN and Ethernet with 3 modes: TCP Server mode, TCP Client mode and UDP mode.

    1. TCP Server mode  
    In this mode, the GCAN-202 will not initialize the connection with other device. It is waiting for the connection from TCP Client, after establishing the connection, they can communicate in two ways.



    2. TCP Client mode
    In this mode, the GCAN-202 will initialize the connection with TCP Server configured before. If not success, it will continue to try connecting TCP Server based on the default set. After establishing TCP connection with TCP server, they can communicate in two ways.



    3. UDP mode
    In this mode, the GCAN-202 need not to establish connection with device. UDP protocol is used for data communication.
