  • 1.Function Overview

    The GCAN-208-2-F series module from Shenyang Guangcheng Technology Co.,Ltd.is an industrial grade CAN bus to fiber converter that integrates 2 standard fiber optic interfaces(single-mode,multi-mode,SC,ST,FC optional)and 1 standard CAN bus interface.

    The GCAN-208-2-F series module can transparently and non destructively convert CAN bus data into optical signals,and then transparently and non destructively parse the optical signals into CAN bus data.Guangcheng Technology uses unique bus signal conversion technology to achieve microsecond level conversion time between CAN data and optical signals,ensuring real-time communication.GCAN-208-2-F can support any CAN bus communication protocol such as CANopen,SAE J1939,DeviceNet,NMEA2000,etc.

    The GCAN-208-2-F module has two sets of fiber optic interfaces,which can be used for fiber optic ring network.Even if a node drops,it will not affect the normal communication of other nodes.This series of modules is a key tool for industrial bus transformation,long-distance communication,and isolation of bus interference.The CAN bus interface of the module has integrated an isolation protection module,which prevents damage to the module due to instantaneous overvoltage and overcurrent,and can prevent damage to the bus and equipment caused by electromagnetic interference,ground loop interference,lightning strikes,etc.
