1. Equipment Introduction
Shenyang Guangcheng Technology's GCAN-414 is a programmable bus gateway/converter. This device integrates four CAN bus interfaces and one Ethernet bus interface. Before practical use, users need to write applications for this device through the OpenPCS software to achieve data conversion between different bus interfaces. The GCAN-414 module supports multiple standard communication protocols, such as CANopen, SAE J1939, ModbusTCP, etc. Users can directly select the corresponding protocol function block for loading and use in practical use. The addition of function blocks simplifies user programming work. Users only need to understand basic PLC programming instructions and the characteristics and parameters of the corresponding bus protocol to complete the programming work.
It can be programmed using OpenPCS software, which supports five standard PLC programming languages specified in the IEC-61131-3 standard, such as SFC (Sequential Function Chart), LD (Ladder Diagram), FBD (Function Block Diagram), ST (Structured Text), and IL (Instruction List). This makes the program highly portable and reusable. Moreover, the software also has various debugging functions (such as power-off, single-step, monitoring, etc.), making debugging the program more convenient.
